The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) for the mining and minerals sector in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998.
The first application window for Discretionary Grants allocations, for the period 01 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, will open on Monday, 04 December 2023 at 08H00. Employers and other stakeholders in the sector are invited to submit their applications for the following projects:

Completed application forms must be submitted before 00:00 on Wednesday 31 January 2024.

- MQA may call for application for projects, but it is at MQA discretion to allocate the grants on these
- The application form must be completed in full. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the application form submitted is correct and completed in full.
