Operations
The main role of the Learning Programmes Operations Unit is to facilitate and support the delivery of learning programmes within the mining and minerals sector, registration of learners on the MQA Management Information System (MIS) for sector employers, supporting MQA levy paying companies and exempt companies with discretionary grants as well as conducting learning programmes implementation visit at host companies.
The Learning Programmes Operations Unit is responsible for the following Learning Programmes:
- Artisan Development Programmes
- Apprenticeships
- Artisan Aides
- Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning
- Non-Artisan Learnerships
- Recognition of Prior Learning for Learnerships
- Occupational Health and Safety Representative
- Other OHS Related Skills Programmes
- Foundational Learning Competency (FLC)
- Adult Education and Training (AET)
