In addition to registering SDFs, the MQA provides support to SDFs and SDCs to play their role more effectively. Following a Board decision for the current submission process did not include independent MQA contracted SDFs.

SKILLS DEVELOPEMENT FACILITATORS

The MQA conducts Skills Development Facilitator workshops annually to inform organisations about the new process for WSP-ATR submission. The National Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) Forum is also hosted annually and the aim of the forum is to give feedback on the WSP-ATR submission process. The forum should be attended by relevant MQA stakeholders such as SDFs, HRD personnel and labour representatives.

Information about workshops and forums will be made available on the MQA website. All organisations within the mining and minerals sector are encouraged to attend.
