The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority for the mining and minerals sector in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998.
The first application window for Discretionary Grants allocations, for the period 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, will open on Monday 21 October 2024 at 08H00. Employers and other stakeholders in the sector are invited to submit their applications for the following projects:

Completed application forms must be submitted via e-mail ONLY to grants@mqa.org.za.
Hand-delivered application forms including those sent to other email addresses will not be accepted.

- Application forms will only be available on the MQA website.
- The MQA may call for application for projects, but it is at MQA’s discretion to allocate the grants on these
