Vacancy: Quality Assurance Intern

The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) for the mining and minerals sector in terms of the Skills Development Act of 1998. The MQA invites applications for an internship opportunity that currently exists at the MQA.

Unemployed applicants who have never participated in an internship programme, and are South African citizens, are invited to apply. The successful intern will be appointed up until March 2020 in line with the SETA landscape and will receive a monthly stipend.

The Quality Assurance Intern will support the administrative functions within the Quality Assurance Unit namely:

  • Accreditation;
  • Development Quality Partner;
  • Assessment Quality Partner;  
  • Certification;
  • Workplace Approvals; and
  • Capturing of information on the database system.

Any other functions as delegated by the Quality Assurance Manager.

The candidates to be considered must have:

  • A relevant post-matric qualification in the following is a prerequisite: Human Resource Development or Human Resource Management and Practices or Business Administration;
  • An understanding of legislation and developments in respect of education and training;
  • Ability to organise;
  • Detailed orientated;
  • Good communication and sound interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure; and
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude.
