Invitation to Attend the 2019 Gauteng Stakeholder Engagement Forum

The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) would like to extend an invitation to its stakeholders to attend the Gauteng Stakeholder Engagement Forum that will take place as follows:

  • Date: Wednesday 27 March 2019
  • Time: 09H30 - 14H30
  • Venue: Pyramid Conference and Venue Centre, 108 Eloff Street, Village Deep, Johannesburg


The purpose of this Stakeholder Engagement Forum is to inform and engage with stakeholders in the sector on key issues including amongst others:

  • Discretionary projects and grant allocation opportunities in 2019 (including learners with disabilities)
  • Artisan development opportunities for employed and unemployed learners
  • Mandatory and Discretionary grant regulations update
  • The MQA Funding Policy for the 2019 - 2020 financial year
  • WSP - ATR submission dates, processes and changes  for 2019

Target audience

  • Registered levy and non-levy paying companies
  • Skills Development Facilitators (SDF)
  • Accredited training providers
  • Subject matter experts in the sector
  • Skills development regional groups from State (DHET, DoL, DMR), Employers and Labour
  • Provincial Skills Development Forum (PSDF) representatives
  • The small scale mining communities
  • Local Universities, Universities of Technology and TVET College representatives
